A modern wedding with a black and white theme
There are weddings that still seem just as modern and timeless years later as they did on the day itself. Nadja and Kai's wedding at Gut Schwarzerhof near Baden Baden was just such a day. A mix of clean style, elegant details, and an incredible amount of heart. Even during the getting ready phase, the special atmosphere that would carry the day was evident.
The light-flooded rooms of the venue were perfect for modern wedding photography. Light walls, natural materials, and a harmonious black and white look gave the celebration a clear, stylish setting. A special highlight in the design were the floating balls of gypsophila hanging from the ceiling, which gave the room a modern, elegant, and wonderfully homogeneous atmosphere. The combination of clean aesthetics and these soft, floral elements made the overall picture particularly well-rounded and contemporary. Outside, a meadow full of dandelions created an almost dreamy, soft atmosphere that fit perfectly into the series of photos.
Nadja wore an elegant dress by Eva Lendel with a low back and delicate lace. Her styling was deliberately clean and modern. Kai appeared in a white blazer and black trousers, matching the overall color concept. This black and white look was a recurring theme throughout the day and gave the reportage a strong, contemporary aesthetic.
The first look with the bridesmaids was one of the most emotional moments. The open sliding door to the living room created a completely natural, unposed moment full of joy and connection. The church wedding was also characterized by closeness, love, and honest reactions. Family and friends were at the heart of this wedding and provided many moving moments.
An absolute highlight was the band, which brought incredible energy to the day right from the start. The atmosphere was electric from the moment they entered, and it continued throughout the evening. The modern combination of clear aesthetics, emotional moments, and powerful live music made the wedding one of the most lively and stylish days we have ever had the privilege of photographing.
A few days later, we met for the after-wedding shoot in Baden Baden. Nadja and Kai had deliberately chosen this option because most couples have very little time for photos on their wedding day itself. This way, the day remains relaxed and you can really enjoy the moments with family and friends. The after-wedding shoot gave the couple the opportunity to take exactly the photos they wanted without any time pressure. The light was soft, the surroundings were floral, and spring was at its most beautiful. The result was a series of calm, elegant photos that beautifully complement the reportage and give it additional depth.
This wedding shows how modern and atmospheric wedding photography can be, regardless of where couples choose to celebrate. Many couples from Zurich, Lucerne, and all over Switzerland want exactly this mix of clear aesthetics, genuine emotion, and contemporary style. For us as wedding photographers from Switzerland, this day was a special highlight.
